Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Formbono (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at formbono.com (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Not Legal Advice
Formbono is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The Service provides access to official court and government forms as a convenience. We make no representation that any form is appropriate for your specific legal situation. The forms available through Formbono are official documents published by courts and government agencies; we are a search and access tool, not a legal services provider.

2. Description of Service
Formbono provides a searchable database of California state, local court, and federal court forms. The Service allows users to:
- Search for and locate official court forms
- Preview and fill out fillable PDF forms in the browser
- Download completed forms
- Organize forms into matters (Pro)
- Send forms to recipients for completion (Pro)
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when registering
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Pro Subscription
Billing
Formbono Pro is a paid subscription billed on the schedule you select at checkout (monthly or annual pass). All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at hello@formbono.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of your initial purchase if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact hello@formbono.com.
Price changes
We may change our subscription prices with 30 days’ notice. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or reproduce the Service’s form database in bulk
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Send to Fill feature to send forms to recipients without their knowledge or consent
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
6. Form Accuracy and Currency
We make reasonable efforts to keep the forms in our database current and accurate by sourcing directly from official court and government websites. However, we do not guarantee that every form is the most current version available, and court forms can be updated, superseded, or withdrawn without notice.
You are responsible for verifying that any form you use is the correct, current version before filing it with any court or agency. We recommend checking the issuing court’s website for the most current version before submission.
7. Intellectual Property
The court forms available through Formbono are public domain documents published by government entities. The Formbono platform, including its design, software, AI-generated descriptions, and search infrastructure, is owned by Formbono and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the Formbono platform without our written permission.
8. Form Sharing — Sender Responsibilities
When using the Send to Fill feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorization to share forms with and collect information from recipients
- You will not use the feature to collect sensitive information from recipients without appropriate disclosures
- You will comply with all applicable privacy laws with respect to recipient data
- Formbono is a delivery mechanism only — we are not responsible for the content of forms you send or the information recipients provide
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FORMBONO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Formbono and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a way that could cause harm to us or others. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
